OUTBOUNDRY PROJECT PROGRAMME

What it is

Out Boundary Youth Project: Believers Care Society has a non-discriminatory mandate to serve all members of the community irrespective of race, creed or color. Our training projects are rolled out free of charge to the disadvantaged community members, many times a specific project funder may require their funds to be used to serving a category of people or community in line with their company corporate social policy, such scenario may exclude other people from that project. The Out boundary project exist to ensure that every one has the opportunity to participate in developmental and educational programmes through which their economic lives are improved and sustained, resulting to the national economic growth

 

How it works 

Through Out boundary project, a beneficiary will choose from the list of accredited course to do, Believers Care Society will serve as a learner hosting college to manage all registrations and administrative requirements. All courses are on correspondence, meaning you study on your own and write exams at our designated exam centres. The learner will have to pay for their own exams directly to the accrediting/ Exam body, meaning no fees are paid to or through Believers Care Society. A learner has a responsibility to their own learning manual {learner guide}. Believers Care Society has a reference library, a free internet computers and study rooms where learners can use for their studies and exams preparations, which is opened Monday-Friday from 9am-3.30pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. Learners may form a study group. Before the examination a compulsory exam preparatory class is held {revision} at Believers Care Society and final exams information is communicated to learners.  Exams are taken at designated centres in JHB closest to the learner. The exam portfolios are shipped/ posted to the accrediting/ Exam body within 24 hours after exams. Postage stamps will be the responsibility of the learner; this simply is a postage stamp that is required. Results are released at the minimum of 3 weeks to maximum of 2 months, depending on which course learner is doing. Once result are out learners are notified to come in and collect their statement of results from the accrediting body.  If a respective competent learner requires a certificate of competence from Believers Care Society, donation token of R250 minimum will be required, however this is not compulsory as statement of result is sufficient.

Believers Care Society will enforce all examination rules and will take no responsibility for any course failure or absence of a learner from writing exams.

Believers Care Society does not require any registration fee, admin fees etc , only selective stationeries as needed will be required from the learner at registration- A Rim of Typek papers will be required.

Who qualifies to participate in the training project

Adult above 35 years of age with green bar-coded Identity documents, Youth below 35 years that are employed holding green bar-coded Identity documents, holders of valid Asylum seekers permit, holders of valid Passport permits.

Youth between the ages of 18 and 35years who is unemployed and unskilled are not priority target group for Out boundary project. They are advised to apply for formal youth development projects that are already funded. Funded projects may not include courses on out boundary project.

BASIC CERTIFICATION

  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals

SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION

MASTERY CERTIFICATION

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Certified copy of ID or Permit {permit must be at least 6 month valid}, proof of residence or an affidavit from police confirming residential address, CV and previous qualifications.
